And on Friday, the man behind the wheel faced a judge for the first time.
That judge did not set bond for Jason Komsonekeo Friday morning.
He now faces several charges - including fleeing which is a felony. Police say it all started when they got a call about a man violating a protective order.
He was later spotted, but when police tried to pull him over, he took off.
Investigators say he blew through a construction zone driving up to 100 miles per hour.
"We did block intersections, make sure the other motorists weren't in danger," says Lt. Derek Hudson of the Springdale Police Department. "We did attempt to deploy spike strips at one point on Wagon Wheel, but weren't successful. We have to balance the danger of the pursuit versus letting this guy go."
Arkansas State Police managed to pull the car over a short time later and took the man into custody.
He remains behinds bars in the Washington County Jail.
