NWA Air & Military Museum Hosts 'Airport Day' June 21

The entire family can come out and see historic airplanes and learn more about aviation history.
It's educational, it's fun, it's historic.
FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- The Northwest Arkansas Air and Military Museum in Fayetteville needs your help. It's struggling to keep the doors open due to a lack of visitors, so to help cover costs, the museum is hosting a monthly special event called Airport Days. Saturday, June 21 marks the first one. The entire family can come out and see historic airplanes and learn more about aviation history.

"We just want everybody in the area to know that we're here," says Russell Smith, a member of the museum's board of directors. "We're a good resource - it's educational, it's fun, it's historic and the museum could use the help."

Airport Days will run you $5 for children and $10 for adults, and that includes a pancake breakfast and burgers and hot dogs for lunch! The fun starts at 8:00 a.m. and runs through 4:30 p.m. The museum is located at 4290 South School in Fayetteville.
