NWA Public Transport Growing in Popularity

Ozark Regional Transit says that people in NWA are using its services more than ever before with over 20,000 riders in May 2014.

SPRINGDALE, AR - Public transportation continues to grow as a popluar option for Northwest Arkansas residents. Ozark Regional Transit says that people are using its services more than ever before, with 21,166 riders in May 2014.

The company hopes that this number will grow as the ORT takes part in the nationwide "Dump your Pump" day, offering free fares the week of June 16-20. The company has four fixed routes in Springdale, four in Fayetteville, two in Rogers, and one in Bentonville. Another new route began June 2, bringing five additional communities into the ORT bus network. 

All Ozark Regional Transit vehiles are wheelchair accessible, with bicycle racks being available on all fixed bus routes. For more information on the bus routes, CLICK HERE.
