On-Duty Highway Patrol Officer Arrested for Driving his Patrol Car Drunk

SEQUOYAH COUNTY -- An Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) trooper was on duty when he was arrested for driving an OHP vehicle drunk last Thursday.
SEQUOYAH COUNTY -- An Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) trooper was on duty when he was arrested for driving an OHP vehicle drunk last Thursday.

Joshua Davies was arrested Thursday afternoon around 4:30 in Sequoyah County. According to the OHP, they were called to an accident near Sallisaw that involved and OHP vehicle pulling an OHP boat.

OHP told KOKH Davies appeared drunk at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He later agreed to a breath test and registered over the legal limit.

According to the OHP, Davies was driving an OHP unit and pulling an OHP patrol boat at the time of the accident.

Davies has been with the OHP for eight years and is on administrative leave as the department investigates.
