Pet of the Week: Rosebud, the Disabled Dachshund

She is learning to walk again!
Mike Emery from the Washington County Animal Shelter tells us all about little Rosebud:

"This is Rosebud. She is about a year-old, long-haired Dachshund. She's a special needs girl. Someone found her as a stray. They said she crawled up to their porch. She had no use of her back legs. She is re-training herself on how to use them and she is getting around with a little difficulty here and there but for the most part she is just enjoying it, and she is making a huge improvement. Whoever would take her would need some patience and understanding because she couldn't do stairs at the moment. If she needed to go outside to do whatever you would need to get her up and down the stairs. She is just a sweet, sweet girl. If you are interested in adopting her come on down to the shelter, 801 W. Clydesdale in Fayetteville, or give us a call at (479) 6953450. We'd be happy to introduce her to you. We do have the special still going on until the end of the month. $20-dollar adoptions for dogs - and all the cats are free."
