Police Investigating 'Suspicious' Death of Elderly Woman

BENTONVILLE, AR-- Police are investigating a body found in a home on the 3300 block of Elm Manor Avenue in Bentonville.
UPDATE:  Police have released new details about the investigation into a body found at a Bentonville home.

On Sunday, police got a call of about a welfare concern at 3300 SW Elm Manor Drive. The caller said 76-year-old Nelma Darline Conklin had not been to work for about one week. When officers went to check on her, they found Conklin dead inside the home.

Police are now looking for Conklin’s grandson, 26-year-old Michael Eugene Conklin, who had been living at the house with her.

Nelma Conklin’s car, a silver 2013 Ford Focus with Arkansas license plate 583OCT, is also missing.

Police are calling the circumstances of Nelma Conklin's death "suspicious" and have sent her body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
