Rogers Man Arrested On Sexual Assault Charge

A Rogers bus driver was arrested Friday on a second degree sexual assault charge.
ROGERS, AR -- A Rogers bus driver and youth pastor was arrested Friday afternoon, accused of sexual assault.

51 year old Stephen Betts was arrested for a second degree sexual assault charge, a class B felony. Rogers police say the assault happened 13 years ago, but was reported just this week.

"In assaults like this when people are young, it takes a while for them to build the courage to actually report it," says Keith Foster, public information officer for Rogers Police Dept.

Betts is being held in the Benton County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
