The Rotary Club's Community Service Chair, Scott Swearinger, says that this act is part of a grant the club gave to the preschool. "We are excited to be working with the Sunshine School. They do great work for the children of Rogers and Northwest Arkansas. We, as a group, are excited about it. Obviously, it makes everybody feel good," said Swearinger.
These acts of service are not uncommon for the Rogers Noon Rotary Club. The group gives out a grant to a local nonprofit each quarter, committing a financial gift and a hands-on service program to each recipient. The group will continue their community involvement throughout the summer by volunteering at the Children's Safety Center's Dream Big Charity Gala at Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday, June 19.
