Sam's Club Returns to Springdale

The store is returning to Springdale, after leaving the city in 2007.
SPRINGDALE -- Sam's Club announced Friday that the store will open a new store in the city.

The company revealed the news in the Sam's Club Community Room at Arvest Ballpark. The store will be located at the intersection of Interstate 49 and Highway 412. The store's original Springdale location closed its doors in 2007, choosing to build in Fayetteville and Bentonville. The company says it's glad to be back.

"We feel the community needed us and we had a great opportunity in front of us," said Kurt Hess, Sam's Club market manager.

The store will bring 175 jobs to the city. Sam's Club expects to open the new location in Spring 2016.
