The fate of a controversial bill that would allow business owners in Arizona to deny service to any customer on the basis of personal religious beliefs, resting in the hands of Republican Gov. Jan Brewer. Critics are urging Gov. Brewer to veto the bill, saying it sanctions discrimination; but supporters say it defends religious freedoms.
Scientists have discovered the oldest piece of earth ever found. This crystal -- called a "zircon" -- is 4.4 billion years old! That's according to new findings published Sunday in the journal "Nature Geoscience." The crystal is microscopic, roughly 400 micrometers long, or about the size of four human hairs. This piece of crystal was first uncovered back in Perth, Australia in 2001.
A Duke University student making headlines after admitting she's paying for college by making pornographic videos. She says she wants to be a lawyer but needs financial help to pay for her $60,000 a year tuition. In an op-ed piece after the so called scandal broke, the student -- identified only as Lauren -- defended her actions. The school says she has not violated any student code of conduct.
New rules proposed by First Lady Michelle Obama would pull ads for unhealthy food from schools and encourage more healthy eating. It would mean hallways and scoreboards with Coke or Pepsi advertisements would have to be changed -- no logos allowed. The new push comes on the fourth anniversary of the First Lady's "let's move" initiative.
