A Ukrainian journalist working as a freelancer for CNN remains in detention after being abducted by Pro-Russian separatists. Anton Skiba was taken by gunmen after working at the MH17 crash site. Since his detention, CNN has attempted through a number of different separatist officials to secure Skiba's freedom.

The Sudanese Christian woman who was persecuted for her faith back home, has arrived in Rome with her family...not only that, but Mariam Ibrahim and her family met with Pope Francis at his private residence in Vatican city. Ibrahim initially faced a death sentence for converting from Islam to Christianity - but that ruling was later overturned. Italian officials say she will stay in Italy for a short time - then continue her journey to the US.
