Well this is probably no surprise. The "hot convict" has apparently landed a modeling contract and he's not even out of jail yet! Jeremy Meeks is currently being held on a $1 million bond after his arrest on seven felony charges including "street terrorism." The Huffington Post reports that Meeks has scored a modeling contract with Blaze Modelz. The 30-year-old inmate shot to fame when his mug shot was posted on Facebook.

NUMBER 3 - FLIGHT SECURITY INCREASED
Heads up frequent flyers! The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is stepping up security for some flights headed to the U.S. over heightened concern from global threats. In a statement, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said enhanced security measures will be announced in the coming days at certain overseas airports. Officials say there is no specific plot related to the change.

NUMBER 2 - BOURBON STREET SHOOTING ARREST
A man has turned himself into police in connection with Sunday's deadly shooting on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Justin Odom, 20, is in custody. Police say they are still looking for one more person. A 21-year-old woman died in the shooting. She had been in critical condition since the shooting. Three other victims remain hospitalized. Police say the shooting may have started with an argument between two men.

The National Weather Service says Arthur has strengthened to a hurricane. The first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season is threatening to deliver a blow to the Carolinas, impacting the July 4th holiday. The hurricane's maximum winds sustained close to 75 miles per hour and they are expected to strengthen. A mandatory evacuation was ordered for visitors to the outer banks' Hatteras Island as of 5 a.m. today.
