Deputy Clerk, Lana Gordon, has been sending folks down the isle for 13 years. She said, "I feel like I'm kind of part of getting them together you know. We opened up at about 8:30 and my first customer was at 8:35."
Gordon said it's a speedy process. "valid drivers license know their social, 60 dollars cash, correct change, five minutes and they are out the door."
Tyler Garrison and his new wife, Angela, traveled from Missouri. They're keeping it quiet and trading the white dress for red shoes.
"It's so much easier easier and less stressful," Garrison said.
Newlywed, Nick Hilton, said "I think we just wanted something small and quaint that we we could just come and get it over with. It's pretty cheap and everything is already set up."
The clerks office usually signs about 30 marriage licenses on Valentine's Day, but this year's list is a little longer.
Lana said, they had "a total of 41 married today".
Lana Gordon said she's happy to sign the papers, but has one important tip for newlyweds.
"Tie that knot good and keep it tight," Gordon said.
