The annual list has been ranking companies by total revenues since 1955. Exxon Mobile took the second spot while Chevron, Bershire Hathaway and Apple (edging into the 5th spot) rounded out the top five this year.
Fortune reported the company's revenues totaled $473.1 billion and noted the Bentonville-based company's recent foray into gas stations, Walmart To Go, and drugstores, Walmart Express, and small grocery stores, Neighborhood Market.
