WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR. --- It takes a lot of work to tally every vote in Washington County and that's what the Election Commission did on Tuesday night. The commission encountered a glitch with one machine, but quickly fixed the issue and brought in a new machine. After tallying all early votes and absentee votes, then it was on to the votes from Tuesday.

The 56 polling places in Washington County returned their paper and electronic ballots. All were counted and the county was done counting around 10:30 with unofficial results. The county will have official results in ten days after verification.
