WASHINGTON COUNTY -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office has launched an internal investigation into reports a man being held at the county jail was sexually harassed by a jailer.

The inmate claims a deputy grabbed his groin saying, "suck this right here." The man also says he was placed into a segregated cell for bad behavior and the same deputy moved him into the cell where a rape had occurred a few years ago, then taunted him about it.

The inmate, who is working with a lawyer, said there is video to prove what happened and another deputy who reportedly saw it happen is writing a statement.  Kelly Cantrell with Washington County Sheriff's Office said video of one of the reported encounters showed no evidence of harassment.

He also claims the deputy told him if he kept these exchanges a secret, they would let him out of segregation sooner.

Cantrell said the investigation is ongoing.
