The Crawford County Sheriff's Department says that around 11 a.m. Thursday, they received a 911 call from a woman who told them she was being robbed.
Officials say the home owner pulled into her driveway, left her small child in the car, and walked into her home while the thief was still inside.
"She confronted the white male that was in the house, and she's stating that he had a pistol, which belonged to her fiancé," Crawford County Sheriff Ron Brown said. "He shot at her three times, one (bullet) striking her in the leg."
The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the child was unharmed.
Police say they are conducting interviews with a person of interest.
