WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR-- Investigators say a Washington county deputy admitted to drinking and then crashing a patrol SUV. That's according to the internal investigation report released this week. And new dash cam video shows what happened the night of the crash. In the report, the sheriff's office states Corporal Daniel Walker said he fell asleep while driving his patrol SUV in September. That's when he ran off the road and crashed through a fence. The report shows Corporal Walker denied drinking beforehand. But a blood test showed traces of alcohol. Walker resigned from the sheriff's office back in September. Now, a fourth Washington county deputy has been disciplined for not reporting that Walker was drinking before the crash. According to the sheriff's office, Walker was drinking at deputy Seith Redmon's house before the accident. And after wrecking, we're told he texted Redmon a message asking for help to cover up the fact that he was drinking. During the investigation, Redmon revealed the information. But because he didn't come forward with it first, he was reprimanded and suspended for two days without pay. Walker and two other deputies resigned during the investigation.
