Global Startup Weekend takes place in more than two hundred cities across the globe and entrepreneurs from Northwest Arkansas joined in on the fun.

It's an entire weekend dedicated to pitching ideas, forming business teams, and organizing strategies.

Event organizer, Max Farrell said Northwest Arkansas is the perfect creative space for Startup Weekend.

"Northwest Arkansas has a wealth of talent. It has a few key industries that people can build underneath and on top of and around to support these industries... to build businesses and actually be entrepreneurs."

Twelve groups were competing for a cash prize, but also for the chance to build business in their home town.
