Experts: Gas Prices Will Soon Drop below $3 in AR, OK, MO

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -- The Natural State is one of several expecting to see gas drop below three bucks a gallon!
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -- Fantastic news for folks filling up in Northwest Arkansas. The Natural State is one of several expecting to see gas drop below three bucks a gallon! According to GasBuddy.com, the price of regular unleaded is on the decline, and experts say Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri are among the states with the lowest anticipated prices.

"If current supply and demand fundamentals remain unchanged and West Texas crude slips into the mid-$90s, then perhaps by Thanksgiving we could see as many as 33 states (two-thirds of the U.S.) with gas stations selling below $3," says Gregg Laskoski, a GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst.

So by Thanksgiving, you should see prices below $3.00... if you don't already. Prices are still hovering around $3.10 in Northwest Arkansas, but some stations in the River Valley have gas going for $2.99. Tulsa, Oklahoma, and St. Louis, Missouri, are the envy of the nation, though. Some gas stations there are priced as low as $2.79 and $2.85 respectively.
