FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- On Wednesday at 6:10 A.M., security video shows a car crashing into the stone, knocking it off its base and breaking it.

FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Police say a large memorial honoring fallen officers has damaged beyond repair by vandals.

On Wednesday at 6:10 A.M., security video shows a car crashing into the stone, knocking it off its base and breaking it. The memorial was placed in front of the department offices on Rock Street back in February in honor of two city officers killed in the line of duty.  A third name was scheduled to be added to the stone.

The Fayetteville Police Department is actively investigating this incident and following up on all leads. They are asking anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.
