FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Fayetteville City Council voted Tuesday to join Ozark Regional Transit in accepting a grant to make improvements that will benefit people with disabilities.

The council voted unanimously to join ORT in using federal transit administration grants to pay for installation of bench and transit shelter pads and necessary sidewalk construction.

ORT received the benches and shelters through a stimulus act program and now they're lobbying other Northwest Arkansas Cities- and Fayetteville has now agreed- to provide the labor and materials needed to make the installations.
