BENTON COUNTY, AR -- Prosecutors say Pamela Nelson was found guilty of misdemeanor harassment Wednesday, but she was acquitted of third degree battery.
BENTON COUNTY, AR -- The verdict is in for a former Benton County teacher accused of hitting a student - guilty. Prosecutors tell us Pamela Nelson was found guilty of misdemeanor harassment Wednesday, but she was acquitted of third degree battery. Nelson was arrested last year after a student said she hit him while she was a choir and keyboarding teacher at Benton County School of the Arts. She was fired from her job, but she has maintained her innocence.
According to the Benton County prosecutor, Nelson will not spend any time behind bars on the harassment conviction. Her sentence is to pay a $150 fine.
