Food Pantry Opens in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, AR--If you're feeling overwhelmed with the thought of not having enough food this holiday season, there are plenty of places to go for help. Organizations in Northwest Arkansas are doing their best to help those in need.

FAYETTEVILLE, AR--If you're feeling overwhelmed with the thought of not having enough food this holiday season, there are plenty of places to go for help. Organizations in Northwest Arkansas are doing their best to help those in need.

The Yvonne Richardson Community Center in Fayetteville is creating a food and basic needs pantry for low-income families in Northwest Arkansas. You can drop off items on Saturday, November 23 at the YRCC

YRCC director, Tenisha Gist, says the hope is to relieve holiday season stress. "The holidays are already stressful as it is you know people are going and getting gifts but that's something we don't want families to have to worry about is that they need those basic things."


Items needed:
​​Canned Meats, Canned Vegetables, Fruit Cups, Macaroni & Cheese, Cereal, Dry Beans, Rice, Boxed Dinners, Dry Milk Powder, tooth brushes, tooth pasts, bath soaps, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, towels, sponges, etc.
