Fort Smith Police Looking For Armed Bank Robbers

FORT SMITH, AR -- Police say two black males walked into the First National Bank on Midland Avenue and robbed it around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

According to police, a witness reported two black males entered the bank, then each confronted a bank teller and demanded money.

The witness told police one man was wearing a grey hoodie with a dark colored bandana covering his face.

The other man was wearing a blue shirt, a black/white hat, with a dark colored bandana covering his face.

Officers tell FOX24 a witness said the black male with the blue shirt was armed with what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.

According to police, the men ran from the bank and were last seen jumping over the brick wall behind it.
