FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- A local heart patient with mounting medical bills got a little help from the community, by way of a special concert.

Kim Hunt of Farmington is nearly $250,000 in debt from medical expenses stemming from her congestive heart failure. In an event called the Got Heart? Benefit Concert, local bands and a DJ volunteered their time to put on a show. Tickets for Sunday's event were $5 a person at the Greenland Community Center in Fayetteville.

"She's been around the area for quite a long time, she knows a lot of people around here and so everybody's been pitching in just trying to help her out the best they can," said band leader Jeff Quinn.

The event also included a silent auction and all proceeds will go toward Kim's medical expenses.
