BENTONVILLE, AR-- A new exhibit coming to Bentonville Public Library from the Rogers Historical Museum, traces the impact of Beaver Lake on the Northwest Arkansas area.

"Beaver Lake Before and After" began Wednesday and will be available the entire month.

It will be displayed near the Bentonville Public Library's Local History and Genealogy Department.

The exhibit comes from the Rogers Historical Museum and explores the transformation from free-flowing river to man-made lake.

It looks at life in the White River Valley before the lake and explores the reactions of those who lived along the river to the building of the dam.

The exhibit also looks at the actual building of the dam and at its impact on the region.
