NORTHWEST ARKANSAS-- The price spike can be credited to more homes being sold around here.
The housing market is headed up in Northwest Arkansas.

According to a Realtors Association report, the average price for a home in Washington and Benton counties has increased by more than 11-thousand dollars in the last year to $182,345.  That price spike can be credited to more homes being sold around here.  The agency says the number of houses sold locally is up nineteen-percent from August 2012.
