FAYETTEVILLE, AR - The University of Arkansas Athletics Department has released a statement regarding an incident in which a marketing intern was injured by a T-Shirt Launcher at Saturday’s football game against Louisiana at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The University says the intern was treated and released from the hospital over the holiday weekend.
At the time of the discharge, the launching device was not in the process of being fired and was lying on the turf.
Medical personnel were present at the scene and responded immediately.
In accordance with the intern's privacy rights, the University of Arkansas does not plan to comment on any further details relating to the incident.
The University says the T-Shirt launcher will not be used for this Saturday’s football game and a decision regarding any further use will be made in the future.
