LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones returned to his home state Thursday where he had a big announcement for the boys of Catholic High.
"Part of being here today, and being with you today was, to announce that we want to make over a $10 million contribution to the future of young men in central Arkansas," Jones announced.
The $10 million donated by the Jones family and other contributors will help Catholic High toward its goal of $15 million needed for a renovation project.
Jones also shared some advice with the students, explaining how important it is to make the most of opportunities that come your way.
"Because I know you don't get but a few," he advised. "When I got a a hold of one of 'em, whether it be the Cowboys, or maybe one or two other things, I wanted to empty my bucket with it. I did. I wanted to, wanted to maximize that opportunity because I know you don't get but a few."
Jones' two sons attended Catholic High School, graduating back in 1983 and 1988.
