BENTON COUNTY, AR-- A Bentonville man facing a murder charge for the death of his wife has been found mentally fit to stand trial.
Perry Davis also appeared in front of a Benton County Judge Friday for a mental status hearing.
He's scheduled for another pretrial hearing on November 1.
Davis was booked into the Benton County Jail in November after a lengthy recovery from the August 2012 incident that led to a brief standoff with police.
Officers responded to his home after reports of gunshots and, hours later, entered the home to find Davis' wife, Kelly, dead and Davis with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
He's charged with kidnapping and capital murder.
