LOS ANGELES -- The choir from a Little Rock church is at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), where a gunman opened fire Friday morning, injuring at least three people.

A member from the St. Mark Baptist Church who is at the scene tells ArkansasMatters.com they arrived at LAX shortly before 10 a.m. Pacific time on Friday to perform in the finale of "How Sweet the Sound," a national choir competition.

They are all safe and accounted for, and are currently in the holding area where passengers have been taken as the investigation continues.

The church member says airport officials are trying to get food and water to them, and that even though LAX was their destination, they are not being allowed to leave the airport.
