Local Business Offers Help for NYE Hangovers

A Fayetteville business is offering a special set of juices to help people ring in the New Year, and to recover on the morning after.

Native Nectar's owner says the best way to combat a hangover is to drink plenty of water.

"The hangovers are just dehydration," Wilson Wood says. "To get back to feeling normal you're going to need some electrolytes, and some nutrients and some enzymes in your body. We have tons of juices that will replenish you and some coconut water and some detox waters to kind of make you feel a little bit better."

Even though a cheeseburger seems to provide relief, Wood says greasy food isn't actually helping.

"You're just adding more toxins into your body with a hamburger, all that is is covering it up," he says. "What we're doing is actually replenishing your body with vitamins and nutrients."

Wood also says it's important not to drink on an empty stomach.

"Try to eat some good healthy fats before you do drink," he says. "It will help aid in the digestion process."
