LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Senator Mark Pryor is behind the push to raise minimum wage in Arkansas. According to the Huffington Post, Senator Pryor offered a tentative endorsement Monday of a ballot initiative that would pad Arkansan's paychecks. Pryor says he will back the measure to raise the minimum wage from $6.25 an hour to $8.50 an hour over a period of three years. The Attorney General's Office is expected to make a decision on the legality of the initative before the end of the week. If approved, the group pushing for the initiative will have until June 30th to gather 62,000 signatures before it can be put on the November ballot.
