Murder Victim Identified; Fayetteville Man Remains in Jail

JONESBORO, AR -- UPDATE: A man police say was shot and killed at a nightclub Saturday has been identified. A Fayetteville man remains in jail, charged with the crime.

JONESBORO, AR -- UPDATE: According to TV station KAIT, the man who was shot and killed at a nightclub in Jonesboro on Saturday has been identified. A Fayetteville man remains in jail, charged with the crime.

Police say Xavier White, 22, was involved in an argument that quickly escalated then diffused. A short time later, gunshots were fired in the Envsion Club parking lot. White suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later died after being taken to a hospital.

33-year-old Timothy Joe Fields of Fayetteville has been arrested at is being held on a $500,000 temporary bond.

He is expected to be charged with First Degree Murder, according to a statement from the Jonesboro Police Department.

The 911 center received several calls about a shooting in the parking lot at Club Envisions on Johnson Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Fields called police to turn himself in just hours after the incident.
