CAMP ROBINSON, AR- The Arkansas National Guard received word to begin recalling all 376 furloughed state and federal employees back to work Thursday.
During the government shutdown, pay was delayed for some Guardsmen until training could be rescheduled. Guard leadership is working to find ways to cope with the hardships of this furlough, and help all employees get back on their feet.
Although everyone is being brought back to work and everything should be back on schedule by Monday, utility conservation measures are being continued in order to save dollars wherever possible. Traditional Guardsmen will drill again starting in November.
