NWA Angels Pageant Changing Lives

A unique beauty pageant is changing lives one contestant at a time.
BENTONVILLE, AR -- A unique beauty pageant is changing lives one contestant at a time.

Bentonville First church hosted the 2nd Annual Northwest Arkansas Angels Pageant. It is a non-competitive, non-profit pageant for individuals with special needs.

Organizer Daphne England's 15-year-old daughter Morgan has cerebral palsy. She noticed there were not many activities for her to take part in, so England decided to change that.

"They are out there on that stage and they get their time to shine. I want the community to be able to see that they are so special and talented and beautiful and they want to be accepted like everybody else."

There are no judges at the pageant and everyone gets a crown, trophy, t-shirt and sash. The pageant, including hair and makeup, is completely free for participants thanks to community sponsors.
