"I'm super proud!" Loman says. "I've been kind of obsessed with the music festival since I moved up here. A friend of mine sent an email and said, 'Austin City Limits music festival, look at this lineup,' and I dropped everything and went. I went for seven years in a row!"
The annual event draws tens of thousands of people to Austin, Texas, for several days of local food and live music, and Loman's winning design will be plastered all over the place! She says it's the opportunity of a lifetime.
"It's definitely kind of a dream come true having my merch at Austin City Limits Music Festival. You know, ever since I was a little designer that didn't know what I was doing, I was obsessed with ACL, so it's cool to have my work there," Loman says.
Loman says her Mexican-inspired sugar skull design, inspired by the wealth of Hispanic heritage in Austin, is full of smaller drawings, showcasing the culture and music the Texas capitol is known for.
"You know, it's going to be neat to run up to the merch booth and see that up there, and see people wearing it. It's awesome," she says.
The Austin City Limits Music Festival takes place October 11 - 13.
