Pet Holiday Party Tips!

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -- Many people love a good holiday party, but they can be problematic for pets.
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -- Many people love a good holiday party, but they can be problematic for pets. It all starts with the tree. If eaten, tinsel, ribbon and other decorations can cause serious internal problems for dogs and cats. They'll often chew on electrical cords too, so best to keep those hidden away.

Beware holiday treats, as well! Cookies, candies, nuts and alcohol are fine for people, but they can make pets seriously sick.

If you suspect your animal may have eaten something they shouldn't, call or vet immediately. You can also contact the ASPCA Poison Control Hotline at (888) 426-4435.

Take a look at this info graphic, courtesy of the All Cats Clinic in Fayetteville, for more information on what to keep your pets away from.
