(FOX NEWS EDGE)-- If you've ever blamed that strange noise at night or blotch in a photo on the supernatural, you're not alone.

34 percent of people say they believe in ghosts, according to a poll by The Associated Press and Ipsos. Roughly the same as those who believe in unidentified flying objects - and more than the 19 percent who accept the existence of spells or witchcraft.

Before your think that the one-third who believe in ghosts and UFOs is small - think about this:  according to Fox News, about 36 percent of folks say they are baseball fans.

And for about 11 percent - they don't need to see it to believe it.  Only 23 percent say they have actually seen a ghost or have been in one's presence, the poll results show.

The poll, was conducted in October 2007 and surveyed 1,013 adults.
