FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- This year's 'Protein, Produce and Pennies' food drive is reaping big results out of Fayetteville. The drive ran through October, in an effort to help families in Northwest Arkansas who need it most. And this year, it collected 595 pounds of dry goods and more 833.5 pounds of fresh produce. That's more than 1428.5 pounds of food. The dry goods will head to NWA hunger relief and the Fayetteville Public Schools outback pantry. The fresh produce will go to local community meal kitchens. This was the third year for the drive.
