FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Morning radio hosts, Tim and Jeff in the Morning, are hosting the annual canned food camp out this weekend, working to donate a truck load full of food to Life Source before the holidays.

It's the 11th annual Canned Food Camp out and last year the DJing duo were able to get 50,000 pounds of food donated, this year, they're trying to exceed that. Folks throughout northwest Arkansas bringing cans, boxes and bags of food and working to fill up a Mayflower truck just in time for the holidays.

The meals and money go toward the food bank that helps local families in need. Rain or shine, the camp out continues and Tim and Jeff say it's the people that keep them going.

"We hear stories from folks. We have people that walk up and they'll just hand over some food, and we'll talk to them and they'll say, couple years ago I was at a point where I needed to go to LifeSource and I went there for a couple months and got food for my family and now life's good and I'm paying it forward," Jeff Januszek said.

Friday morning they still have a ways to go in filling up the truck but they're confident the community will come through.

The Canned Food Camp Out continues through Saturday at 5pm.
