Several Flights Delayed, Canceled at XNA

More winter weather across the country is causing problems for travelers in Northwest Arkansas.
HIGHFILL, AR -- More winter weather across the country is causing problems for travelers in Northwest Arkansas. Several flights were canceled or delayed out of Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Monday, January 6.

"This time we had some cancelations. Most of those cancelations were due to weather elsewhere. Planes were flying in and out of here from the beginning of the storm to the end," says Steve Keith, the facilities director at XNA.

According to Keith, XNA hired contractors to help with clearing sidewalks and roads around the airport.

"We still have a little bit of snow on the airfield on the runways and taxiways and ramps. As they melt and, if the temp comes up a little better so we can work it, we will continue to clear those until it's down to clean pavement," he says.

For more information on arrivals & departures, visit Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport's website.
