Rogers, AR - Local middle school students were treated to a unique science lesson Thursday.

Race to Planet X, the Arkansas Museum of Discovery's mobile museum traveled to Greer Lingle Middle School in Rogers. Students used their engineering skills and teamwork to conduct several space simulation experiments. Teacher Tamara Dunn was amazed by the mobile museum.

"I was totally shocked," she says. "I got an email telling us that it could come to shcools, and I just took a shot a sent them a message and asked them if they could come and I had no idea that it would be this cool."

Dunn says the space simulator teaches kids how to apply the skills they're learning to real life. The mobile museum will be open to the public this week at First Thursday in Fayetteville and First Friday in Bentonville.
