Springdale Police Arrest Man in Copper Thefts

Springdale man arrested and charged in thefts of industrial copper wiring.
Springdale, AR -- Springdale police made an arrest Monday after investigating a string of copper thefts going back to October.
Police say Bobby Joe Evans of Springdale stole as much as $16,000 worth of industrial copper wiring from the Cargill Feed Mill.
After Cargill installed new surveillance cameras, another burglary occurred, and investigators were able to identify the suspect.
Evans is charged with 6 counts of commercial burglary; 6 counts of felony theft of property; and 6 counts of felony criminal mischief in the 1st degree.
He is currently in the Washington County Detention Center.
