Several viewers reached out to us, concerned with the message the shirt was sending. It read, "You can't sit with us."
It is available at Masons and was posted to their social media site explaining it is a quote from the movie Mean Girls, but some people felt the shirt was portraying a message of bullying and did not feel it was appropriate.
We reached out to Masons and they cleared the air, sending us the following statement:
"Masons in no way intended for the shirt, in question, to be considered a statement for bullying. It is a quote taken from a popular movie in 2004. The shirt was sold along with game day apparel including a shirt with the saying 'On Saturdays We Wear Red.'
Masons would never and will never support bullying in schools.
Over the years, we have supported numerous charities with sponsorships, donation items and more importantly our time because we value our community.
