(CNN/TIME MAGAZINE)-- How much poultry will we gobble up this Thanksgiving? According to the National Turkey Federation, 88% of Americans feast on the popular foul for the holiday. That means 46 million turkeys will be at the Thanksgiving table this year. In case you're wondering, it takes about five hours to oven-bake a large, stuffed turkey. According to the latest TIME Magazine report, the typical Thanksgiving meal weighs in at about 4,500 calories.
That equals about seven whoppers at Burger King, or seven Big Macs at McDonald's.
