In New Mexico, an unidentified gunman accused of walking into Berrendo Middle School in Roswell and shooting two students. He shot a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, who are in critical and serious condition. A faculty member also had minor injuries. Police say the school was placed on lockdown until the accused shooter was arrested. Authorities say all the students were bused to a nearby mall. Where their parents or guardians picked them up.

Police officers, raiding Justin Bieber's house in California following an egging incident. Bieber is under investigation, accused of throwing raw eggs at his next-door neighbor's house last week. Police searched his house for any evidence linking the singer to the attack. He was being held in his garage as deputies searched the property.

Long-term unemployment benefits, failed to clear two procedural votes in the Senate today. The votes came after tough negotiations between Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and 8 Republican senators. The talks are centered on finding ways to pay for renewing benefits expiring in December, which could cost anywhere from $6 to 25 billion dollars, depending how long they would be extended.

Oklahoma's ban on same-sex marriage struck down today. A federal judge ruled the state's law limiting marriage to one man and one woman violates the U.S. constitution. But same-sex couples in Oklahoma won't be able to wed quite yet. The judge said the court won't enforce the ruling until all appeals are heard.

President Obama congratulated the Miami Heat after the NBA team's championship win. The president welcomed them at the White House, and during the ceremony, he got a gift from the Heat. A Heat jersey of his own. The jersey had "POTUS" written on the back along with the number 44, representing Obama as the 44th president.
