NUMBER 5 - BOARDWALK FIRE
Firefighters worked to fight high flames and thick black smoke on the famous Seaside Heights Boardwalk in New Jersey Thursday night. The fire started at a frozen custard shop. A town spokesman said flames quickly spread to at least 19 other buildings. Some firefighters suffered minor injuries.
NUMBER 4 - SEVERE COLORADO WEATHER
Roads have turned into rivers in Boulder County, Colorado as widespread flash flooding claims at least three lives. Conditions are so bad in some areas President Obama has signed an emergency declaration. He's also ordered federal aid to help state and local responders. Emergency crews are dealing with catastrophic conditions including severe storms, landslides and road and bridge collapses.
NUMBER 3 - PRINCE WILLIAM LEAVES MILITARY
Prince William is leaving the armed forced to focus on his royal duties and charity work. William has served in the military for seven years. During the last few years he worked as a pilot with the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue Force. Kensington Palace said William will expand on his conservation work dealing with endangered species. He will also focus on charities that deal with children and veterans.
NUMBER 2 - HARRY POTTER SPIN-OFF FILM SERIES
Author J.K. Rowling is taking fans back to the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Thursday, Warner Brothers announced a new partnership with Rowling that includes a Harry Potter spin-off film series. Rowling will write the screenplay for the first film, called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." It's based on Harry Potter's Hogwarts textbook of the same name. The film takes place 70 years before Harry came to Hogwarts.
NUMBER 1 - "VOYAGER ONE" ENTERS INTERSTELLAR SPACE
Scientists said there is strong evidence NASA's "Voyager One" spacecraft has hit a major milestone. After streaking through space for nearly 35 years, NASA said the spacecraft left the solar system about a year ago, entering interstellar space, becoming the first man-made object ever to do so.
