Traffic Stop Turns Into Felony Fraud Arrest

SILOAM SPRINGS, AR-- A routine traffic stop turned into a felony arrest for one Siloam Springs man.
SILOAM SPRINGS, AR-- A routine traffic stop turned into a felony arrest for one Siloam Springs man. Benton county deputies pulled over William Hall Wednesday night. After a search of his car, they uncovered a ledger with dozens of names, social security numbers, blank checks, credit cards, and bank statements. Deputies later learned some of the credit cards are linked to a home invasion and car break-in in Siloam Springs. Investigators say Hall later admitted he had used a website called "Smartcheck" to find the names of deceased victims and then open a line of credit in their names. Hall is now being held for U.S. Marshals because of a federal parole violation stemming from previous drug charges.
